Anatomy of a 10K Road Race

Choose Race wisely, not too auspicious, not too many runners (116 in this case). Check on the
ages of runners from previous events look for high drop out rate, and then, on the day,

hatch a cunning plan..........................hmm

Strategically place yourself right at the back of the pack

Early in the race, consolidate your position in front of the Fat Lardy Wheezy boys

but just behind any Totty

Take care not to be psyched out by the 68 year old bloke who lapped you on the first lap
and the the 64 year old grandmother just about to. They won't last at this pace. (They did)

In to clear air running (CAR) you are now at the front of the pack behind you. But watch out
for the 75 year old ex women's world champion with a mean streak and she's out to prove a point

Two of us real men showing the ex world champion a thing or two
(for now anyway)

Disbelief as the 75 year old ex WC sprints the last 200metres and leaves you standing.

Cool Finish followed by a cold beer
